Engineering Manager (Budapest, HU)

Introduction

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team of Asura Technologies Zrt., founded in 2017 and headquartered in Budapest. Our company designs, develops and installs parking, traffic monitoring and security systems based on Artificial Intelligence worldwide, into which we integrate our own developed video analytics and license plate recognition software.

Asura is active worldwide, our most important market is the United States, and through our strategic partners we are present in many projects in several countries in Europe and Asia. In short, if you work for us, you create foreign trends at home. Our development is well illustrated by the fact that over the past 6 years, the team has grown from the initial 3 people to 100+ people and another 25 people work for us in the USA.

Tasks

• Career path planning, supporting their development in the role of coach
• Preparation of a hiring plan, active role in interviews
• Facilitation of team discussions and ceremonies
• Giving commitments and deadlines related to developments and ensuring their compliance
• Creation of development processes and tools in compliance with organizational guidelines
• The development of team metrics and the solution of their continuous monitoring, the development of transparent operation
• Determination of goals broken down to an individual level together with the developers
• Regular evaluations and feedback
• Keeping 1:1s predictable and regular
• Cooperation with other Engineering Managers, ensuring organizational coordinated operation
• Making statuses and providing the necessary information

Expectations

• 10+ years of experience in the IT field, preferably a developer background
• 3+ years of experience in leading software development teams
• Agile approach
• Communication level English language skills.
