Mobilisis Parking Sensor for Park and Ride Parking Lots in Austria and Germany

Mobilisis parking sensor for Park and Ride parking lots

Park and Ride/drive (P + R) or incentive parking are innovative parking lots with public transport stops that allow passengers and other people, heading towards crowded city centres, to leave their vehicles in a secured parking lot and switch to a bus, train system or carpool service to continue the journey to their destination. The vehicle is left in the parking lot during the day and collected when the owner returns. P + R parking lots are mostly located in the suburbs of urban areas or on the outer edges of large cities.

Austrian company EBE Solutions continues to implement Park & Drive solutions throughout Austria and Germany. During implementation, Mobilisis used the parking spot detection technology via Magsense cable sensors mounted below the asphalt surface. Complete solutions are integrated with Prisma solutions, which develops final application solutions for the users. It is a system that has proven to be reliable and accurate in detecting vehicle parking, and one of its major advantages is that there are no visible pieces of equipment. The project will continue until the end of 2021 and by then a total of 1000 parking spots will be equipped with our cable sensors.
